History of the Pachamama Raymi methodology
The methodology was designed in the late 1980s in Peru for the Rural Development Program PRODERM, which was financed by the Dutch Cooperation and the European Commission. The architect and promoter of the methodology was Willem van Immerzeel, who later used the methodology in Bolivia, Guatemala and Chili. He improved the methodology, adapting it to the specific conditions of each project and their cultural, ecological and institutional realities.
